Trend Micro will not rule out possibility of being acquired, says CEO Systems | 5min ago
 After Intel spent US$7.68 billion to purchase McAfee, Trend Micro CEO Eva Chen has revealed that Trend Micro has received many acquisition offers from first-tier IT players. The company still tends to favor independent operations, but since it a publicly listed company, if any player can offer terms attractive enough for its shareholders, she, as a founder of the company, will definitely respect its shareholders' decision. Meanwhile, company chairman Steve Chang also pointed out that the company's long-term plan is to remain independent, but it will not rule out the possibility for accepting a reasonable merger offer.
