Aten International, a designer and manufacturer of advanced connectivity solutions, is exhibiting at Computex 2009 (Hall 1, Booth A533, A534, A539 and A540). The KVM specialist is demonstrating solutions that include an LCD KVM switch with touch screen; the new version of its Control Center Over the NET series with enhanced functionalities for consolidating the entire IT infrastructure management; and its freshly unveiled media distribution solution for transmitting multimedia contents.

The CC2000 Control Center Over the NET is the next generation of Aten's software-based solution for secured and centralized access, administration and management of the entire IT infrastructure in multiple data centers, branch offices and remote locations. With the CC2000, IT administrators can consolidate all Over the NET or other IP-based IT devices through a single IP address, and even link multiple CC2000 units to create an integrated network of devices. With the included Java software, the CC2000 supports Sun Java Runtime Environment (JRE)-enabled operating systems.

The KL3116T dual-rail touchscreen KVMP is an integrated LCD console and 16-port KVM switch, which features an independently retractable 17-inch touchscreen monitor and a keyboard with built-in touchpad in 1U dual-rail housing. The KL3116T requires no additional software to operate. It provides dual interface functionality for both PS/2 and USB environments and a USB port located under the LCD panel for connecting peripheral devices. Up to 31 additional switches can be daisy chained allowing administrators to control up to 512 computers from a single console.

Aten has unveiled at Computex its new media distribution solution. This end-to-end digital signage/visual information system transmits high-quality audio and video content over Cat 5 cable to multiple displays from a single input source in real time. The solution consists of the VS1504/VS1508, 4/8-port Cat 5 audio/video splitter and the VB552 VGA over Cat 5 repeater+audio. When combined with Aten repeaters in a three-level cascade installation, the splitter can support thousands of displays located up to 450m from the source, according to the company.
