MediaTek deal with Qualcomm reportedly to be finalized shortly

Recent reports in Taiwan's Chinese-language press have recently claimed that MediaTek is close to signing a WCDMA licensing deal with Qualcomm, but the Taiwan-based IC designer described the reports as "speculation."
