Acer expected to ship 8-9 million notebooks in 3Q09

Acer shipped an estimated 2.5-2.7 million notebooks, including netbooks and ultra-thin models, in July 2009, and is expected to ship a total of 8-9 million units in the third quarter due to rebounding demand in Europe, according to market watchers.
