Lenovo recently launched the ThinkPad X201i featuring Intel's Wireless Display (WiDi) technology, which can transmit image signals from a notebook to a larger-size display such as TV through Wi-Fi, according to Lenovo Taiwan.
At Lenovo's product conference, country manager of Intel Taiwan Jason Chen pointed out that the adapter for WiDi technology is currently priced at US$99, but will gradually drop to US$50-60.
Chen pointed out that the technology will help PC players extend their business into the TV market and will be able to compete head on against Google TV, which is supported mostly by TV players.
