Apex Circuit International, a Thailand-based PCB maker established by entrepreneurs from Taiwan, expects fourth-quarter revenues to enjoy similar sequential growth seen in the third quarter, thanks to a ramp-up in orders.
Apex Circuit said it has received new contracts transferred by panel clients from their original partners in China, and also orders being shifted from fellow rivals located in the flood-hit areas in Thailand.
A number of PCB manufacturers including KCE Electronics have had to suspend production at factories in Thailand due to flooding. Apex Circuit previously remarked that its factory site is located away from the flood-hit areas, and therefore operations remain unaffected.
Apex Circuit reported NT$1.33 billion (US$44 million) in revenues for the third quarter of 2011, up 10.8% on quarter and hitting the highest quarterly level on record. Revenues for the first three quarters of the year totaled NT$3.66 billion, rising 12.3% from 2010.
Apex Circuit earned a net EPS of NT$1.68 in the third quarter, and EPS for the first three quarters of 2011 came to NT$3.69.
Apex Circuit produces PCBs for consumer electronics devices, enterprise printers and telecom products, with customers including Canon, Sony and NEC Electronics.
