Li-poly battery penetration expected to rise to 24% in 2012, say makers

The proportion of global demand for lithium-ion polymer (Li-poly) batteries is expected to increase from 15-16% in 2011 to 24% in 2012 due to fast growing sales of tablets and ultrabooks, according to Taiwan-based battery makers.
