China-based flat panel maker China Star Optoelectronics Technology (CSOT) has begun developing 110-inch display products and is scheduled to unveil the products on March 16, according to industry sources.
Utilizing HVA technology, the 110-inch displays will come with 4K2K resolutions, 800 nits, and support active 3D and multi-point touch technology, revealed the sources.
Having begun volume production since October 2011, the monthly input of glass substrates at CSOT's 8.5G line has reached 20,000 units, the sources indicated. The 8.5G line has a monthly production capacity equivalent to an input of 100,000 glass substrates.
Additionally, the yield rates of the 8.5G line reached 82.37% in January 2012, and sales of flat panels from the 8.5G plant have reached 144,500 units a month on average, the sources added.
