UMC to pay NT$0.70 cash dividend for 2017

United Microelectronics' (UMC) board of directors has decided to deal out dividends of NT$0.70 (US$0.02) in cash for 2017, when the pure-play foundry generated net profits of NT$9.63 billion or NT$0.79 per share.
