Wistron NeWeb targets CDMA market in Southeast Asia

Wistron NeWeb is showcasing its dual-mode GSM/Wi-Fi, GPRS/PHS and CDMA/Wi-Fi handset lineup at the ongoing CommunicAsia 2006 in Singapore. Of the lineup, its first Wi-Fi CDMA model uses the IC solution from VIA Technologies.

Wistron NeWeb is looking to enter the Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesian markets, after succeeding in marketing GSM handsets in India and PHS phones in Thailand, according to the company.
