KS Pua resigns as Phison chairman
Phison Electronics' board of directors has approved the resignation of KS Pua as chairman, according to the Taiwan-based flash device controller specialist.

Asustek ZenWatch 3 smartwatch
Asustek Computer unveiled its latest products at a pre-show conference before IFA 2016 including its ZenWatch 3 smartwatch, new 2-in-1 devices and gaming notebooks. The ZenWatch 3 is priced at EUR299 (US$334) in Europe and features the Android Wear operation system. The smartwatch supports both Android and iOS and is pre-installed with Asustek's ZenFit sport management application. The smartwatch also has a longer battery life than the previous-generation model and is able to operate for up to two days. The device also features HyperCharge technology, which is able to restore the device's power level to 60% in 15 minutes.

Apple iPhone 7 and 7 Plus
Apple has introduced the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. The iPhone 7 series, the first water and dust resistant iPhone, will be available in more than 25 countries beginning September 16. The iPhone 7 features a 12-megapixel camera with a f/1.8 aperture and 6-element lens. The iPhone 7 Plus features the same 12-megapixel wide angle camera as iPhone 7 and adds a 12-megapixel telephoto camera that together offer optical zoom at two times and up to 10 times digital zoom for photos. Coming later in 2016, the dual 12-megapixel cameras also enable a new depth-of-field effect, using both cameras on iPhone 7 Plus to capture images, while sophisticated technology including Machine Learning separates the background from the foreground.

AMD FirePro W9100 graphics card with 32GB memory
At the 2016 National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) show, AMD announced the new AMD FirePro W9100 32GB - a workstation graphics card with 32GB memory support. It will be available in the second quarter of 2016. AMD also introduced the AMD FireRender plug-in for Autodesk 3ds Max, which supports Ultra HD workflows and photorealistic rendering functionality.
