Taiwan market: Olympus launches five digital cameras, aims at 10% market share

Olympus on September 4 unveiled five digital cameras for immediate launch in the Taiwan market. The new models will be backed by a marketing campaign aiming to give Olympus an overall market share of 10% in 2007, according to its Taiwan marketing agent Yuanyu Industry.

Highlights of the new models are the μ-820 which is designed to be waterproof in daily life, and the μ-790SW which is suitable for use while diving up to three meters, Yuanyu indicated.
