AUO expects LED and 16:9 format to have 40% notebook penetration rate in 2009

Au Optronics (AUO) expects the 16:9 format and LED backlighting to each have a 40% penetration in the notebook market in 2009, up from 7% and 10% respectively in 2008, according to company executive vice president Paul Peng.
