Supreme Electronics and Yosun Industrial, two Taiwan-based IC distributors for Samsung Electronics, are both expected to see significant growth in the third quarter thanks to increasing demand for Samsung's LCD panels and memory related products, according to market sources.
Supreme indicated that demand for Samsung' LCD TV panels is growing rapidly for China's holiday shopping in October, while supply of MCP memory has tightened due to increased demand from white-box handset makers in China. Orders of DRAM and NAND flash products are also improving, helping to raise the average selling price (ASP), noted the company.
Supreme's third-quarter revenues are expected to have a 15-20% sequential growth, the sources said.
The company's consolidated net profits for the first half totaled NT$72 million (US$2.19 million), generating a net EPS of NT$0.51.
Yosun has also seen increasing sales of its major product lines, and it expects sales to continue growing in September. The sources estimated Yosun's consolidated revenues to grow more than 10% in August and 25-30% in the third quarter.
