Quartz crystal component supplier Taitien Electronics expects its sales to remain healthy in the fourth quarter of 2013, buoyed by steady demand for its temperature compensated crystal oscillators (TCXOs) and oven controlled crystal oscillators (OCXOs).
Orders received so far in October have been better than expected, offsetting the adverse effects of off-peak season effects in the fourth quarter, Taitien noted.
The company also looks to strong demand from downstream makers in December in preparation for the Lunar New Year holiday season, the company added.
For the first nine months of 2013, Taitien posted revenues of NT$1.18 billion (US$40 million), decreasing 10.6% from a year earlier.
