2015 is an important year for IoT (Internet of Things). Over one billion units of smartphones worldwide have helped to build the groundwork for IoT. According to IDC, year 2020 will see the penetration of more than 25 billion units of networking devices, IoT application and service including wearable devices, smart cars, smart home appliances, mobile payment applications, etc. Explosion of growth in such markets is expected to drive huge demand for passive components.

Global mobile phone market is expected to reach 2.35 billion units in 2019, amongst it smartphones are expected to reach two billion units, according to the latest worldwide forecast by technology analyst firm CCS Insight. Chilisin's 2014 flagship product HEI series mini-molding choke has already been approved and selected by major international smartphone makers. Through material optimization, the UHEI (ultra-high efficiency inductor) series has been developed as the advance version with significantly lower RDC (25% reduction) and improved Q value simultaneously to deliver maximum efficiency.

As 4G (LTE) continues to gain subscribers, growth of 4G smartphones continues to drive demand for Chilisin's 0201 miniature high-frequency inductors. Already with market-leading production capacity, Chilisin expects to continue expanding capacity in order to strengthen its market position especially for products in the booming smartphone and portable device market.
