Mio unveils its new SmartHome solution at Computex 2016

Mio, a subsidiary of MiTAC International Corp., is showcasing its comprehensive line of products at Computex Taipei 2016. This year, Mio is happy to announce the extension of its brand into a new territory with a SmartHome product solution, MioSMART, and to showcase the world's first wristband-type cardiac event recorder - the MiCor series.

In addition, Mio is also presenting a full range of new in-vehicle and outdoor products, including a drive video recorder, navigation device, and radar detector. We will also showcase our professional tablet for medical environments, field service, mPOS, retail, and other professional scenarios.

MioSMART series - an intelligent connection for home security and safety

The MioSMART series, which includes IP cams, Smart Home Hub, door/windows sensors, motion sensors, and personal cloud device delivers a total solution for home security and safety. With the perfect combination of IoT device, smartphone app, and cloud platform, MioSMART creates an integrated solution to protect and monitor the home environment or anywhere security that is a concern. Along with real-time video monitoring, the MioSMART IP CAM provides three types of recording storage: 1) internal storage on MicroSD card, 2) cloud storage and 3) personal storage device. Not only can users monitor their recordings in real time, but they can also save them for future review or share them with friends and family.
In addition to real-time IP cam monitoring, MioSMART features door and window sensors, which can detect home intrusions. When a break-in occurs, users immediately receive alerts via their smartphone app.

World's first wristband-type for cardiac event recorder - MiCor A100

MiCor A100 is the world's first waterproof go-anywhere wristband-type cardiac event recorder. Users can record ECG data anytime, anywhere, avoiding the hassle of going back and forth to the hospital for traditional examinations by a medical technician. MiCor A100 saves time and money and reduces the risk of a serious cardiovascular event. When an irregular heartbeat is detected, MiCor records the most important 30 seconds and sends the data directly to your doctor.

Full range of in-vehicle electronic products to improve safety and enrich the driving experience

This year, Mio introduces the new MiVue C series drive recorder featuring F1.8 (F2.0 in some models) aperture and 1/2.7-inch sensor to provide clearer and wider-angle video. MiVue C 330 also features built-in GPS speed alert function. Our newest rearview mirror camera - MiVue R59 - uses Velcro straps, making it significantly easier to install on any type of car rearview mirror. The MiVue R59 also features F1.8 aperture for 130o video recording angle. Users can also bundle front- and rear-view cameras to create complete coverage from front to back. MiVue DVRs record with sharper image quality and more vivid colors, whether capturing video in the day or at night.
Mio will also showcase our new MiTIRE series tire pressure monitoring system, as well our MiRaD series radar detector. The MiTIRE series includes both internal and external sensor-transmitters that allow users to monitor their tire pressure by linking the transmitters to their DVR devices. The MiRaD series supports radar detection on the X, K, Ka, Ku bands, as well as Strelka and Robot multi-type radar systems, ensuring that drivers are always aware of speed detector cams on the road.


A full range of tablet products for medical, field service, mPOS, retail, and fleet management

Mio will showcase its complete range of professional tablets featuring coated polycarbonate disinfectable surfaces, top-level IP67-rated for water resistance and tested for one-meter drop resistance. These tough tablets also integrate 3G connectivity, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth® 4.0.

Specifically designed for the most demanding field service and retail environments, the new MioWORK L110 series is IP54-rated for water resistance and also tested for one-meter drop resistance. The L110 series has passed long-term burn-in testing and features a hot swappable battery, making it an especially reliable and perfectly suited for the POS environment.

Ideal for fleet management, the MioWORK L70 series integrates NFC functionality for driver identification and features free APIs that provide a complete solution. The device comes with a quick-release vehicle cradle for reliable mounting and improved cable management within the vehicle.
