Japan's Sumitomo Chemical said it plans to invest 5 billon yen (US$48 million) to build a second-generation (2G) color-filter (CF) plant in the Hsinchu Science Park (HSP), Taiwan, through its Taiwan subsidiary SC-IK Technology.
