Although the fourth quarter is the traditional slow season for small- to medium-size panels, Taiwan still saw a 20% sequential increase in small- to medium-size panel shipments to 72.83 million units, in the fourth quarter of 2006, thanks to better-than-expected handset-use panel demand. The growth was much stronger than the 3.2% growth seen during the same period in 2005 and the 1.7% reduction during the same period of 2004.Table of contents
