GpsGate and ATrack announce that the Garmin FMI protocol is now supported on ATrack devices and GpsGate Server for dispatch and chat on Garmin PND:s. GpsGate Server supports the Garmin FMI protocol for bi-directional communication with Garmin PND:s connected to ATrack GPS tracking devices. The GpsGate Server Dispatch module can communicate and send jobs to drivers that are using Garmin PND:s with FMI support. This enables end-to-end dispatch solutions with direct driver interaction or increased productivity and customer satisfaction.
The integration of GpsGate Server and ATrack devices with Garmin FMI includes bi-directional messaging for job management, where drivers can accept or reject jobs and navigate to them using the Garmin device. Finished jobs can be marked as done and chat is supported both for pre-defined messages and canned responses. Garmin FMI version 2.6 and 2.7 are supported.
