Software and Integrated Circuit Foreign Trade Transformation and Upgrading Demonstration Base of Zhuhai High-tech Industrial Development Zone was founded in 2010. Under the guidance and support of the commerce departments of Guangdong and Zhuhai governments, the software and integrated circuit enterprises in the base have maintained steady development.
The amount of export has increased steadily, the profitability has improved, the industrial structure has optimized and the demonstration base construction has achieved great result. The main business income of the software and integrated circuits enterprises in the base reached 50 billion RMB, with a year-on-year increase of 19%. Among them, the export revenue of software and integrated circuit design business reaches US$1.1 billion, ranking the second in Guangdong province with a year-on-year increase of 3%. The export destinations now include the United States, Western Europe, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macao, Russia, Japan, Vietnam, etc. There are over 58,000 employees in the demonstration base.
Organization Structure
Under the leadership of provincial and municipal commerce departments, the demonstration base has set up Workstation for software and integrated circuit foreign trade transformation and upgrading. The main responsibilities of the workstation include developing and implementing development plans of the demonstration base, analyzing the status of the demonstration base and guiding the enterprises to develop foreign business. It creates favorable conditions for the enterprises in the demonstration base by providing services in collective trademark registration, brand cultivation, public service platform construction and international market development in order to promote the development of the base and its enterprises.

1. Local brands cultivation
In order to integrate resources, improve the competitiveness of the software and integrated circuit products, protect the development results of the industries and improve the awareness of local brand, the demonstration base applied for its own collective trademark.
2. Enterprise cooperation in international market expansion
In order to explore international markets, the demonstration base organized enterprises to participate in international fairs and communicate with some international companies. The demonstration base also learns to take use of electrical business information platform to expand overseas e-commerce and international markets.
3. Public service platform construction and public service enhancement
The demonstration base owns software testing public service platform, integrated circuit design technology public service platform, multimedia technology & SoC design public service platform, etc. These platforms provide testing services, R&D services, information services and personnel training services for export enterprises. For the sake of improving service quality, the demonstration base strives to construct foreign trade transformation and upgrading service platform and industrial design visualization service platform.
4. Corporate image enhancing and industrial achievement promotion
