In an effort to help businesses better grasp business opportunities from smart innovations, Digitimes will host an IoT technology and development forum in Taipei on November 15, with many tech leaders to deliver keynote speeches on innovative applications.
The forum, to be held at the Westin Taipei, will see speakers from Rohm, Microsoft, NXP and AWS presenting their latest developments in perception, transmission and AI-based computing capabilities associated with smart applications.
Meanwhile, CY Huang, a professor at National Chiao Tung University, will share his strategies for exploring IoT business opportunities in his capacity as director of the university's Center for Industrial Accelerator and Patent Strategy. And three Taiwan startups will also release their newest IoT services.
Smart applications to people's daily lives are proliferating worldwide, such as Amazon Go checkout-free stores, and Taiwan's first automatic resources recycling station in northern city of Hsinchu.
People's daily lives are made more convenient with the growing popularity of smart voice assistants Apple's Siri and Amazon's Alexa, the incorporation of chatbots to service industries and social media, the combination of smart streets with weather forecast, air quality monitoring and image surveillance systems, and the increasing use of interactive digital signage boards to support market research and analysis, as well as the application of smart air conditioning and smart door security systems.
On another front, wide application of robotic arms and automatic guided vehicles tp manufacturing operations, the combination of AI with edge computing to provide real-time feedback, and the establishment of IoT ecosystems and standards are all helping to promote cross-industry integration and smart revolutions.
