Smith, a global distributor of electronic components and semiconductors, announces the relocation of its Shanghai office. The office's new location positions Smith in the heart of Shanghai's central business district - the world's most populous urban area and a global hub for transportation, finance, and innovation.
Since opening in 2004, Smith's Shanghai office has more than tripled in staff size and built long-lasting relationships with customers. The relocation provides more office space, as well as a convenient place to meet local customers in person. Additionally, the newly constructed tower is LEED Platinum certified - the highest achievable distinction for buildings that promote clean and renewable energy, making it one of Shanghai's first office towers to be recognized.
Shanghai is home to several industrial zones and serves as a major manufacturing center for China. Automotive, shipbuilding, and technology are among the many industries with a strong presence in the area. Smith will continue to focus on procuring high-quality components and providing custom supply chain support to global and local customers alike.
"Our new office location will give our Shanghai employees new opportunities to develop relationships across the many industries represented here," said Choon Byun, President - APAC at Smith. "We look forward to continued growth and success in this dynamic city and around the world."
The new office is located at: Units 06-07, 38F, One Museum Place Office Building, 669 Xinzha Road, Jing'an District, 200041 Shanghai, China
