Tesla recently achieved a weekly production capacity of 1,300 Cybertrucks, but customers have not received their vehicles on schedule due to problems with their windshield wipers.

According to a report by Electrek, Tesla produced an impressive 1,300 Cybertrucks in one week. The company plans to halt the production of the Foundations Series Cybertruck next quarter and shift to a more conventional production line.

CEO Elon Musk announced at a shareholder meeting that Cybertruck production has peaked. Weekly output is expected to reach 2,500 units by the end of 2024.

The annual production capacity for the Cybertruck is 65,000 units, with ambitions to reach 125,000 units by the end of the year. Tesla previously announced its goal of producing 250,000 Cybertrucks per year by 2025.

Despite the substantial increase in production rate, Cybertruck shipments are facing new challenges. According to The Verge, ongoing issues with the Cybertruck's large wipers have caused delays in deliveries.

Users on the Cybertruck Owners Club forum noted that Tesla informed them of problems with the wiper's motor, leading to a halt in deliveries. One forum user mentioned in particular that the delay was due to issues with the wiper blades.

Reddit users reported that deliveries had to be postponed because of problems with the wiper's arms. Customers who have already received their Cybertrucks have also reported wiper issues on the Cybertruck Owners Club.

One user mentioned that the wipers malfunctioned shortly after delivery and had to wait "a few weeks" to replace the wiper motor. Another user pointed out that their wipers never worked properly and that they had to wait two weeks for replacement parts.

According to Drive Tesla, these problems are due to quality issues with the supplier, resulting in wiper motor failures. While Cybertruck production and deliveries have been progressing rapidly, production quality must be maintained to ensure smooth deliveries and customer satisfaction.
