With surging demand for large-scale computing driven by the proliferation of generative AI applications leading to rising power consumption for AI training and inference, DIGITIMES Research noted that Arm’s RISC-based chips, known for their high performance and lower power consumption, have become prominent in this wave of AI applications.
Consequently, Arm has formed deep collaborations with providers of cloud datacenter servers, AI smartphones, and PC products to capitalize on the business opportunities presented by generative AI.
In the keynote speech at Computex 2024, Arm revealed its focus on four major AI application areas: mobile phones, PCs, automobiles, and the cloud. It offers advanced integrated solutions with its combination of CPU, GPU, and NPU IP products to meet customers' demand for high energy efficiency and flexible architecture in various fields, addressing the needs of new AI applications.
