The vibrant development of the global digital content industry is transforming the digital ecosystem through original audio-video content and AI applications. Demand from professional creators for the production of 4K and 8K ultra-high-definition video continues to grow. The widespread adoption of iPhone ProRes and other professional standards means that individual video projects may now require storage measured in terabytes. Even as the market environment evolves at a rapid pace, AGI Technology has drawn on its extensive expertise in semiconductor R&D to stay attuned to the pulse of the storage market and deliver outstanding results in the high-capacity memory card and external storage sectors. Vice President of Sales Edward Liao indicated that AGI Technology plans to showcase a number of innovative high-performance storage solutions at CES 2025, one of the top events for the global consumer electronics industry.

AGI Technology was founded by a team of industry veterans with more than two decades of experience in semiconductor engineering, which gives the company a strong technical edge. AGI quickly established itself in the Taiwanese and Japanese markets after its formation in 2018. In 2021, it launched the industry's first 1TB microSD memory card. A 2TB product was then launched at the end of 2023, beating competitors to market by several months. Edward stated that product performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness were all priorities for the company. The choice of chips and controller ICs is carefully vetted, and rigorous quality control and testing procedures are enforced from incoming materials all the way to shipping. As a result, AGI products are very competitive in the medium and high-end markets.

AGI Technology will continue to build on its technical edge in the storage sector by making the EDM38 magnetic external SSD, one of its key products at CES 2025. The EDM38 features an innovative magnetic attachment design aimed at mobile creators, overcoming the limitations of traditional external hard disks and supporting iPhone MagSafe out of the box. Android users can use the bundled magnetic loop accessories to take advantage of the magnetic attachment function as well. Performance-wise, the EDM38 is based on USB 3.2 Gen 2x2, with real-world read/write speeds of up to 2050MB/s and 1800MB/s, more than satisfying the demands of high-quality video processing. The product is available in two capacities, 1TB and 2TB. A compact footprint of 62 x 62 x 11.5mm and a weight of just 74g makes it extremely portable.

Edward noted that the EDM38 magnetic external SSD is perfectly suited to professional content creators. When a single 10-minute high-quality video in the iPhone ProRes 120 fps format already exceeds the storage capacity of a mobile phone, the real-time storage and transmission function provided by the EDM38 allows users to overcome this limitation. For general consumers seeking greater convenience, the EDM38's cost-effectiveness provides them with an affordable option for expanded storage.

Another key product being showcased is the Supreme Pro TF138 2TB microSD memory card. According to Edward, this was the first 2TB microSD memory card product in the industry when it was released at the end of 2023. It conforms to the UHS-I U3 V30 A2 specifications and supports 4K UHD resolution recording. The limits of the UHS-I specification can even be exceeded when a proprietary card reader is used, enabling read and write speeds of 170MB/s and 160MB/s, respectively.

At the technical level, AGI Technology's close relationship with upstream suppliers provides an advantage in sourcing 2TB-grade chips. The latest SA3309 controller from StorArt ensures reliable high-speed performance. The product itself comes ready to use with an SD adapter card and a 3-in-1 Type-C card reader. Product capacities range from 64GB to 2TB. The Supreme Pro TF138 is not only targeted at multimedia content creators who need storage for 4K video but also at users requiring large backup storage. The product has been a stellar performer since its release and boasts a proven track record in reliability. It is now sold through Amazon in Japan, the U.S., and Europe, receiving positive reviews in international media.

Regarding market strategy, Edward stated that AGI is focused on developing both the consumer market and professional applications. For the high-end audio-video market, AGI has already released the V60 series of SD and microSD cards certified by Canon Taiwan. CFexpress Type-B memory cards are also in development to satisfy the storage requirements of professional-grade 8K filming. As for AI applications, which are being adopted at an increasingly rapid pace, Edward emphasized that all of AGI's current product lines meet the AI PC specifications defined by Microsoft, including memory specifications beyond DDR5 5600 16GB and high-capacity storage. All the products are therefore AI application-ready.

In the future, AGI Technology will continue to cultivate the market for high-capacity storage devices with an emphasis on storage applications for high-end audio-video formats such as 4K, 8K, and ProRes. Edward revealed that the company has adopted a highly market-oriented development strategy that collects user feedback through diverse channels to ensure product development aligns closely with market requirements. In conclusion, Edward emphasized that CES is of great strategic importance to AGI Technology. In addition to showcasing the full range of products and services offered by the company, AGI hopes to boost its international brand visibility, strengthen relationships with existing partners, and supply next-generation storage solutions with improved performance, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
