GIS will display a range of cutting-edge smart automotive and near-eye display technologies and products at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in the U.S. from January 7 to 10. The presentation will include heads-up displays (HUDs), low-reflection coating technology, Mini LED touch display modules, and waveguide-based optical modules, offering a groundbreaking visual experience.
In light of the rapid growth of applications in artificial intelligence, 5G networks, and the IoT, the demand for smart living solutions has surged. Leveraging its expertise in optical, mechanical, and electronic integration technologies, GIS has actively invested in next-generation applications such as automotive and the metaverse, yielding significant results. Highlights of the exhibition will include:
Smart Automotive Solutions:
HUDs:
The products provide real-time AR-integrated driving information to enhance safety. Featuring a wide viewing angle, local dimming, high brightness, and high contrast, the HUDs enable clear visuals while maintaining low power consumption. GIS will also display AR HUDs using waveguide technology to significantly reduce the size of the device, offering a forward-looking solution for next-generation automotive displays.
Low-Reflection Glass Coating Technology:
The technology offers automotive-grade durability, low reflection, and low color distortion, which can greatly enhance driving safety and interior aesthetics.
Mini LED Touch Display Modules:
Based on GIS's extensive experience in automotive display integration, the products integrate multiple displays to provide ultra-large displays up to 1,500 mm pillar-to-pillar, combining Mini LED design, lamination, and coating technologies. Compared to traditional LCD backlight, Mini LED backlight allows high contrast, high brightness, and improved energy efficiency.
Waveguide-based Near-Eye Display Modules
GIS will also showcase its waveguide solutions for AR glasses, integrating light engines to deliver high-quality visuals in a lightweight and ultra-thin design. The solutions support monochrome (green) or full-color displays and provide customizable optical and mechanical designs tailored to customer needs, giving a flexible choice for future near-eye and wearable devices.
CES, the largest international consumer electronics show in the US, will be held in Las Vegas. GIS will be exhibited at the West Hall. The booth number is 3078.
