Abstract
DIGITIMES observes that major memory suppliers posted record-high revenue in the second quarter of 2026, with yearover-year growth remaining in the triple digits. Driven by AI demand, SSDs and LPDDR are emerging as key competitive battlegrounds. Major suppliers began volume production of PCIe Gen6 SSDs in 2026, while LPDDR6 is expected to enter production in the second half of 2026. Amid sustained memory demand growth, Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix, and Micron are focusing capacity expansion on DRAM wafer fabs and HBM packaging. SK Hynix’s move to establish its first US production site also highlights the US as an increasingly important location for memory investment. Looking ahead to the third quarter of 2026, major memory suppliers are expected to sustain triple-digit year-over-year revenue growth.

This report covers the 3Q26 performance of major memory suppliers, as well as their potential roadmap for future investments and technical developments.
