Taiwan market: Holiday season kicks off with flat panel TV price reductions

With the lunar New Year approaching, a number of Taiwan-based TV vendors such as BenQ and Chi Mei Group are slashing prices of their LCD TVs by a range of 15-25%, according to today's Chinese-language Economic Daily News (EDN).
