UMC to post 17-19% shipment drop in 1Q23

United Microelectronics (UMC) has forecast its wafer shipments will decline 17-19% sequentially in the first quarter of 2023, when the foundry's overall fab utilization rate will drop to approximately 70% from 90% in the prior quarter.
