Taiwan's top-3 foundries - Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC) and Vanguard International Semiconductor Corporation (VIS) - saw their combined revenues exceed US$50 billion in 2020.
They are also expected to deliver robust performances in the first quarter of 2021 despite the quarter being traditional slow season.
Demand for their services will remain strong, prompting the foundries to raise their quotes and expand capacity.
