SmartFun Digital, a Taiwan-based developer of cross-device software platforms to provide digital content for children's learning and family life, on May 29 launched its first product, FunPark, providing interactive video content for child learning on tablet PCs, according to the company.
SmartFun is a joint venture between Chunghwa Telecom with a 65% stake and the United Daily News Group with a 35% stake.
SmartFun is planning to provide FunPark for smartphones with over 4-inch screen sizes, the company indicated.
SmartFun will begin to tap overseas Chinese-language markets in 2013 and expects to turn profitable in three to five years, the company said.
