Taiwan-based solar cell maker Neo Solar Power (NSP) reported May revenues of NT$1.338 billion (US$44.61 million), an on-month increase of 8.19% but an on-year decrease of 23.47%.
The accumulated revenues from January-May were NT$5.675 billion, down 46.51% on year.
The firm indicated rising shipments in April-May. NSP noted that the solar market has been growing due to policies promoting renewable energy sources in Asia, the US and emerging markets.
Revenues have been showing growths for five consecutive months, according to NSP. The firm anticipates high capacity utilization rates and rising shipments in the third quarter.
