Planar Systems has launched the Runco QuantumColor Q-750i and Q-750d lampless LED projectors.

Collaborating with Texas Instrument (TI) Runco created a LED platform, the QuantumColor, which can eliminate all moving parts in the engine, the company said. Ronco's InfiniLight, a mercury-free illumination system, can reduce 70% power consumption.

Runco delivers the REC 709 Hollywood cinematic standard, Digital Cinema Initiatives (DCI) standards, and the Adobe RGB color space.

Runco's QuantumColor Series Q-750i features integrated video processing, while the Q-750d is paired with Runco's latest DHD controller/processor.

Runco QuantumColor Q-750i comes with an MSRP of US$14,995, and an MSRP of US$17,995 for the Q-750d.
