Elitegroup Computer Systems reaches 85% of 2003 pre-tax profit goal

In a filing with the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TSE) today, motherboard maker Elitegroup Computer Systems (ECS) said its pre-tax profits reached NT$681 million, or 85.3% of its forecast, last year. The company said market competition reduced its margins.
