Taiwan makers shipped 1.22 million LCD TVs in the third quarter of 2005, up 38% sequentially. Their worldwide market share rose to 27% from the second quarter’s 22%. The chief driver of growth was for 30-inch-and-larger models and although Taiwan vendors received more OEM/ODM orders, own-brand shipments also increased.Table of contents
