On-year shipment growth was flat in the third quarter, as inventory levels remained high in mature markets and demand decreased in China after the deadly Sichuan earthquake. But clients' preparation for the fourth-quarter holiday season still gifted Taiwan makers with a high single-digit sequential shipment growth in the third quarter.
