Enova Technology has announced the availability of the real-time hardware crypto module Enigma 2 that is capable of encrypting any selective files/folders of a host computer detectable storage drive with NIST/CSE certified AES 256 bits hardware crypto engine.
Building on its heritage of expertise in hardware real-time encryption solutions, the Enigma 2, made with Enova's X-Wall DX-256 and X-Wall DX-256C USB OTG crypto module, allows users to encrypt data in place, data-at-rest (DAR) as well as Data-in-Transit (DIT) with US military grade encryption strength. Enova Technology will demonstrate the Enigma 2 at booth G0607 at 2014 Computex Taipei.
The Enova Enigma 2 is capable of encrypting selective files and folders of any computer detectable storage devices including booth drive, external drive such as USB or 1394, network attached drive and virtual drives such as SkyDrive, GoogleDrive and iCloud. Single or two factors authentication can be provided with preference. Unlike software encryption that relies on CPU and other system resource, the Enigma 2 performs authentication and crypto graphic operations on the chip level that completely eliminates security weakness found on all software encryption products.
Key management can be as simple as one or a few users. Sophisticated enterprise level key management software running on the server may be customized.
