Acer has reported third-quarter 2021 net profit of NT$3.018 billion (US$108 million), the highest quarterly level since 2010.
This was mainly due to non-operating income of NT$697 million for the quarter, Acer explained.
Acer posted consolidated revenues of NT$81.142 billion, gross margin of 11.55%, operating profit of NT$3.467 billion and net EPS of NT$1.00 for the third quarter, and 14-15% of the revenues came from subsidiaries, Acer said.
For the first three quarters of 2021, Acer recorded consolidated revenues of NT$232.475 billion, gross margin of 11.73%, operating profit of NT$10.252 billion, net profit of NT$8.657 billion and net EPS of NT$2.88.
While demand for PCs and notebooks remains strong, Acer keeps developing niche-market product lines including gaming PCs and ruggedized ones, Acer indicated.
Acer on November 3 announced transfer of its 100% stake in Acer e-Enabling Data Center, a spun-off subsidiary providing cloud computing architecture services, to Acer Cyber Security, another subsidiary providing information security services, at a total price of NT$475.75 million.
