FitTech receives miniLED equipment orders visible until 2H22

FitTech has obtained orders for miniLED chip probing, testing and sorting equipment with shipments scheduled until the second half of 2022, according to the company.

China-based Sanan Optoelectronics will reportedly become a new supplier of miniLED chips for Apple in 2022, and therefore is expanding miniLED chip production capacity at its production base in central China with an investment of CNY7.9 billion (US$1.2 billion) and expected to release orders to FitTech, industry sources said.

Other China-based LED chip makers including HC SemiTek, Focus LIghtings Tech and Xiamen Changelight are also setting up miniLED production lines, the sources noted.

Taiwan-based Epistar is expanding miniLED chip production capacity and is expected to increase outsourced miniLED chip testing and sorting services undertaken by FitTech in 2022.

FitTech posted consolidated revenues of NT$1.512 billion (US$54.2 million), gross margin of 40.94%, operating profit of NT$387.5 million, net profit of NT$321.9 million and net EPS of NT$4.53 for the third quarter of 2021, leading to consolidated revenues of NT$4.077 billion, gross margin of 39.08%, operating profit of NT$850.3 million, net profit of NT$678.7 million and net EPS of NT$9.55 for the first three quarters of the year.
