OCZ Technology has released the latest addition to its premium Vertex SSD series, the Vertex Turbo, for enthusiasts and performance-seeking users. The Vertex Turbo increases both the host clock-speed and the SDR DRAM Cache to 180MHz versus 166MHz on the original series.
Enabled by a proprietary firmware and 64MB of 180MHz DRAM cache, the Vertex Turbo delivers write speeds clocking in at up to 270MB/s read and 210MB/s write along with the lower power consumption and improved durability compared to conventional hard drives, claimed OCZ.
The new Vertex Turbo SSDs are available in capacities of up to 250GB and come backed with a 3-year warranty.
