The Cell Broadband Engine is a central processing core based on IBM's Power Architecture technology and eight synergistic processing elements (SPE).
The Cell Platform provides advanced resolution technology help to achieve superior HD images, enhance Internet content and animation and ready to 3D display technologies, according to the company.
