Acer has unveiled the company's first convertible Chromebook, the R 11.
The Chromebook R 11 is equipped with a 360-degree dual-torque hinge design, enabling customers to manipulate the display to any degree. The dual-torque hinges keep the display secure and stable during touch control and while switching between the modes.
The R11 measures 19.2mm in thickness and less than 1.25kg in weight. This lightweight computer comes with Intel Celeron processors, 2x2 MIMO 802.11ac wireless connection and USB 3.0 port.
The device is equipped with an 11.6-inch HD (1,366 by 768) touch screen display with wide viewing angle. The device also has a HD webcam with High Dynamic Range (HDR) imaging.
The Acer Chromebook R 11 will be available in North America in October with prices starting from US$299.
