TSMC board OKs budget for expansion; allocates US$319.6 million for new business

The board of directors of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) has approved plans to spend US$2.6 billion to expand capacity, including US$369 million for construction of a new 12-inch chip plant - the Fab 15.
