Chip equipment billings up 31% in 2Q11, says SEMI

Worldwide semiconductor manufacturing equipment billings reached US$11.92 billion in the second quarter of 2011, according to SEMI. The billings figure is 1% lower than that in the prior quarter but 31% above the same quarter a year ago.
