US tech firms initiate January 2024 layoffs amid pivot toward AI investment

In the first month of 2024, US tech companies have begun announcing layoffs as a part of strategic adjustments. According to data from the Layoffs.fyi website, 25,000 tech employees were laid off in January alone.
