Yulon Motor subsidiary Luxgen officially launched its first electric SUV, the N7 Long Range (LR), on October 3. The vehicle made its debut at the 2024 Hon Hai Technology Day (HHTD24).
The N7 LR offers several options including the N7 LR Pure Edition, N7 LR Pure+ Edition, N7 LR 5-Person Highlight Edition, and N7 LR 7-Person Highlight Edition.
According to Luxgen, over 1,000 people registered for the early bird plan on the first day of pre-orders for the N7 LR, with more than 50% opting for the 5-Person Pure+ Edition. The N7's delivery volume in September was 594 units, significantly lower than previous months when deliveries often exceeded 1,000 units.
In response, Luxgen stated that the rapid dissemination of news regarding the N7 LR led many prospective N7 owners to enter an observation period, which contributed to the decline in September's delivery numbers.
With the official launch of the N7 LR, Luxgen anticipates an increase in attention and sales for this model and expects it to boost sales of the N7 5-Person Pure Edition priced at NT$999,000 (US$31,052.05).
Customers who complete their online deposit of NT$10,000 before October 23 will qualify for priority delivery before the upcoming holidays. Currently, the earliest estimated delivery is expected to begin in November. To date, total deliveries for the N7 are approaching 6,000 units, with a target of reaching 10,000 units by year-end.
Luxgen continues to integrate smart mobility services, with its "Plug & Charge" service receiving positive feedback. To facilitate a seamless transition to electric vehicles (EVs), Luxgen has constructed the LuxClub smart mobility ecosystem, offering advanced features such as remote control via mobile app, OTA updates, and comprehensive Luxlife service centers across Taiwan.
Notably, the N7 LR benefits from CCS2 configuration, allowing charging at the 106 superchargers established throughout Taiwan, effectively alleviating range anxiety.
