    Mobo makers often operate on single-digit percent margins. For a $50 board, and extra $2-3 in BOM cost could literally eat up any profit for the manufacturer.

    A $2-5 increase in mobo cost for the latest generation of CPU technology. The sky is falling, the sky is falling, the end is near. Seriously? That is the ONLY way you could write a negative piece?

    This could explain why the HP Zen board has its chipset in such a weird place - right behind the USB stacks.
