NEC LCD Technologies has announced the successful development of four new system-on-glass (SOG) LCD modules (LCMs) for personal digital assistants (PDAs) and portable GPS terminals. The company said successful mass production trials began at NEC Akita on October 1.
The new modules consist of a 3.5-inch transmissive LCD, a 3.5-inch transflective LCD, a 2.7-inch transmissive type and a 2.7-inch transflective LCD. All of the new products possess the same VGA resolution.
