NEC recently introduced two 60-inch PDP (plasma display panel) displays (60XM5/60XR5).
The two models both have a complete input panel, including DVI with HDCP (high-bandwidth digital content protection), and wider signal support including 1080p and high resolution PC signals. The 60XR5 boasts an environmentally-friendly low power consumption of 440W due to its new power efficient design.
The 60XR5 is now shipping with a price tag of US$8,999 while the 60XM5 will sell for US$7,999 and will start shipping on November 8, 2006.
